50 is also the Jubilee number--after celebrating the Sabbath Year 7 times in a row, you get an extra Sabbath year, the Jubilee, when slaves are freed, debts are forgiven, land reverts to the original owning family. It's definitely a hold nothing back event!

"The Showing Forth of Christ: Sermons of John Donne," as part of the preparation for a possible series of classes at church. Donne is an interesting preacher, although I've not read his poetry, and it feels as though I'm really missing out on stuff.

"The Spirit of Worship: the Liturgical Tradition" by Susan J. White, part of the ongoing read through most of the Orbis Traditions of Christian Spirituality series. It's the most mandatory one yet, in that it's at once the most foundational (what ALL liturgical spirituality has in common) and materialist of the bunch (by basically saying that the usual idea of "spirituality" is ass-backwards.)

Also gearing up for a summer-long reading of all Dorothee Soelle's books in chronological order.
